The latest guidance on Covid-19

  • In line with recent Government updates, from Tuesday 5th April 2022, Cycle Journeys will no longer require vaccination passes when visiting our depots or travelling on our shuttles.
  • To help keep our customers and staff as safe as possible during this time, we will still require everyone to wear masks when inside our depots and travelling on our shuttles.
  • We encourage everyone to stay up to date with current national and regional Covid-19 guidelines around hygiene and physical distancing and most importantly, have fun, be kind and remember to smile!!!!

OUR COVID-19 POLICY

To provide increased certainty and flexibility for those clients booked with us in light of the changing environment with Covid and the Omicron transmission, Cycle Journeys has revisited the cancellation / postponement policy.

Should your trip be impacted by a Covid-19 related travel restriction that is imposed by the New Zealand government or any other government, we will work with you to either:

  • Postpone your trip to future dates at no additional cost – plus any third party price increases for the 2022/2023 season (e.g. accommodation prices increase etc.
    etc.)

OR

  • Provide you with a ‘No Questions’ refund (less a $50.00pp administration fee).

Cycle Journeys are committed to a zero price increase in our own services through until 30 June 2022.

In a situation where the ability to travel domestically is still available BUT the ramifications of travel and contracting Covid are considered unsustainable by the client, we will not impose our standard 60 day cancellation policy until 30 days prior to your cycle trip with us is reached.  This allows you to delay a final decision on your trip until 31 days out without penalty, thus providing you greater flexibility as the impact of the pandemic becomes clearer.

However;

a) Cancellation and Refund within 30 days will trigger our standard policy which is;

60  – 30 days: Cancellation fee of $150 per person

30 – 15 days:  60% of monies are forfeited

0 – 14 days:  100% of monies are forfeited

If part of a group cancels from a booking (e.g. any long haul shuttles, or accommodation) that indirectly affects the remaining group members, would need to be paid by the client that is cancelling.

b) Postponement and Re-booking to a later date

60  – 30 days: Postponement fee of $50 per person (no monies forfeited), plus any third party increased costs for travel beyond 30 June 2022

30 – 15 days:  40% of monies are forfeited

0 – 14 days:  100% of monies are forfeited

If part of a group cancels from a booking (e.g. any long haul shuttles, or accommodation) that indirectly affects the remaining group members, would need to be paid by the client that is cancelling.
