Cycle Journeys COVID-19 Update

With the move to Alert Level 2 for all of New Zealand, except Auckland, at 11:59 pm on Tuesday 7th September 2021, we wanted to keep you updated on what this means for us here at Cycle Journeys.

Our office team will be returning to the office, and our depots will open with additional hygiene and sanitisation practices in place. Of course, all of the usual health guidelines continue to apply:

  • If you’re sick, stay home
  • Report any flu-like symptoms
  • Wash and dry your hands, cough into your elbow, don’t touch your face

Contact Tracing:

We will continue to display posters with the NZ COVID Tracer QR codes at all of our locations and onboard each of our vehicles – please scan the code each time you visit our depots or board any of our shuttle services.

A paper register will also be available to help with contact tracing for anyone who doesn’t have access to the NZ COVID Tracer app.

Face Coverings:

During Alert Level 2, all customer facing staff will be wearing a face covering when interacting with customers, including our depot staff, who may be briefing you and our shuttle drivers.

All visitors and passengers are required to wear a face covering while in our depots or travelling in our shuttle vehicles. Please bring your own face covering and be prepared to wear it for the duration of your shuttle journey.

As always, we hope to see you out cycling on our trails again very soon. Stay safe and look after each other.

TRUST US. WE DID IT THEN, AND WE WILL DO IT AGAIN.

When New Zealand went into our first Covid-19 lockdown in March 2020, we had around 100 clients out cycling on our trails, as well as upwards of 400 clients with bookings set to go in the days and weeks through to the end of our 2019/2020 season.

We offered all of our clients with bookings for the remainder of the season an opportunity to either postpone their trip free of charge, or cancel their booking and receive a refund, less an admin fee.

52% of those with bookings in place for late in the 2019/2020 season chose to postpone, and many of them had reconfirmed their bookings within a month.

We did it then, and we will do it again!!!

To provide our customers with peace of mind, we have developed our “No Questions – Covid-19 Guarantee”. Should your trip be impacted by a government imposed Covid-19 related travel restriction, we will happily work with you to postpone your trip to future dates (free of charge) or provide you with a ‘No Questions’ refund (less an admin fee of $50.00 per person).
