GTT Day of Taste
Our ‘Day of Taste’ is about indulging in the tastes of the region. Biking will help get you there and back again with the loop ride starting and ending from your Māpua accommodation. The route weaves through rolling countryside full of berry farms, vineyards and hops with stunning views of the coast and mountains along the way.
Within an hours riding you’ll reach the Moutere Village, home to the oldest pub in New Zealand. Visit Tasteology at the old post office, a supplier of some of the tastiest artisan goods produced by the region. You may like to stop and enjoy lunch here in Moutere at the Moutere Inn, or continue on a couple more km to reach Moutere Hills Vineyard and Forsters Cafe. Enjoy the stunning garden lunch setting before returning to Mapua.
